IMC has expanded its
bilingual educational
technology services to Southern Illinois with support from the Illinois
Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity's Eliminate the
Digital
Divide Program.
The community
technology center,
located in Cobden, offers high speed Internet access and basic computer
skills training in a relaxed environment for adults, youth and children
to learn or improve basic computer skills. The IMC Center is open to
the
public; technology instructional services are targeted to farmworker
families
who have been impacted by the digital divide.
Center hours are 9:00
a.m. to 6:00 p.m.,
Monday to Friday, with flexible scheduling for classes and workshops,
including
evenings and Saturdays. Open Lab is available during Center hours
except
during class/workshop instruction sessions.
