Farmworkers who lack a non-agricultural work history possess employability barriers to entering the local labor market and to seeking full time, stable jobs with adequate earnings. Most Illinois farmworkers have none or minimal year-round employment outside of agricultural work.

IMC provides job counseling and job preparation skills training in individualized and group sessions. Job referrals and job retention assistance are also offered.

Supportive services may also be needed by participants while they are in activities leading to stable employment. Assistance may include transportation, translation, child care and other needed family services.
