IMC AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) SERVICES

ARRA programs available to farmworkers and other residents in IMC's service areas will begin July 15, 2009.

Services to eligible applicants include:

● Assistance with food and hygiene for families affected by the recession.

● Assistance for transportation to a job interview or 1st week(s) on the job

● Tuition, fees, and books for vocational/occupational skills training at a local community college or institution that leads to certification and a job. Examples are: certified nurses assistance, medical assistant, truck driver).

● Placement in an on-the-job training slot at a local employer.

● Scholarships for college training in a high growth job.

● Housing (mortgage foreclosure prevention) and energy assistance information and referrals.

● Information and referrals for Veterans Services.
