Beginning July 1, 2000, IMC provides universal core services for farmworkers and non-farmworkers. 

For eligible farmworkers, IMC may  provide related assistance, intensive and training services  depending upon individualized need assessment and resources under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Title I  D Section 167, National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP).
 
 
 
 
 



  IMC Core Services:

IMC offers farmworkers and non-farmworkers the universal core services of information and referrals to partners and programs. See WIA partner for more about IMC's coordination with the Illinois Employment and Training Centers or IETC that are the State's one stop centers.

Core services for farmworkers include:

  • encouragement to access core services of the Illinois workNet Centers (One Stop Centers).
  • information about their eligibility for WIA programs and services at IL workNet centers, 
  • referrals to partners, community resources, IMC programs,
  • intake and eligibility determination.

IMC also offers supportive family services, such as emergency assistance, for eligible farmworkers and their families.
